We are excited to introduce social skills groups, following the format of Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking curriculum. We will be hosting a free parent informational meeting at the clinic on Monday, March 22 from 6:30-8:00. Please call Traci at 919-303-1755 to register, as space is limited.

Focus of the groups will be on improving your child's social thinking and behavior. These groups target those skills that are essential in helping children successfully engage with other children, such as how to: become more flexible thinkers, understand the perspectives of others, interpret the non-verbal cues of others, identify social break-downs and figure out how to repair them, learn from past experience, make and maintain friendships - be a successful social detective!

The groups are currently being scheduled for the summer, and are being grouped according to grades, starting with K - 8. Summer format will be two-fold: some groups will meet an hour each day for a week, other groups will be offered once a week for 6 weeks. Groups that meet during the week will be $200/week (5 sessions), groups meeting weekly will be $240/week (6 sessions).   A brief intake interview will be scheduled with the parents at a minimal fee preceding the start of each group. Dates will be posted within the next few weeks. Call with any questions.

Spring groups are being considered, given interest expressed by parents.
